I narrowed my choices to either the Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical or the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol. Both are excellent shotguns with similar features, gas operated, outstanding dependability, great ergonomics, and similar prices.

I took it out again and started shooting In Nov 2023, but found that the last round wont eject from the magazine tube. I think the spring is weak.Biggest difference is the gas system and that is one of the things you are paying for with the 1301. The A300 has a gas system from 1968. It’s reliable and has worked for over 50 years.
