At first we think Pitt is affordable by looking at past tuition rate. However, look at new tuition rate, it seems a bit pricy comparing to other OOS schools that S24 got admitted. The reason we fell in love with Pitt after visit is the medical resources and school size. Also the city size of Pittsburgh is just right.Pitt, Penn State and Pennsylvania in general are near the top in costs nationally for in state tuition. In state at Purdue for example is $20k room and board and the state prioritizes merit scholarships for in state not out of state.
