Directv closed captioning not working

Hello, closed captions have not been working on Prime video for me recently. I have tried all of the recommended troubleshooting tips and have fiddled with the closed captions settings on my laptop to no avail. I have also tried using multiple browsers. I am streaming prime video on a laptop running windows 10. My browser is Opera GX.
