As has been mentioned, the KimPro finish can be okay or not so good. I purchased a used Super Carry Ultra that had obvious dings and scratches on the slide finish. Sent it to the Mothership for a complete rebuild, including a slide refinish. Cost for the refinish: $110 for what now looks to be a brand new slide.
