The Ruger rifling will be an improvement over the MG which was a cheapening of the JM line for manufacturing purposes. I have two pre microgroove Marlins and two CBs and a 32 20 Classic. One 336W. The MG works OK with J bullets, some can get cast to work and shoot, but as one who casts his own, the GM lacks flexibility.
