The flow restrictor is a blue plastic disc. My plumber tried to take it out but said he couldn't. So I took it off this week and tried myself. The blue disc will not budge. I used needle-nosed pliers, I used a paper clip. I tried a tiny screw driver. The little "tabs" on it broke off - but nothing else.
