My finish of choice is Finnish gun stock wax , I make my own. 1/3 Turpentine,1/3 Boiled Linseed oil and 1/3 Bees wax. Making it is kind of dangerous as you are dealing with flammable ingredients,fire and fumes. I melt the ingredients together in a dedicated pan on low heat outside on my concrete patio.
