in summer go to the starting village (where you steal the tools) and farm all the rye. Provides approx 500 rye for the whole field. place the rye in in the farm chest. in the management menu of the farm on the right top corner select the production of rye grain for 100%. This will provide 1 rye grain and 1 wheat.

Medieval dynasty villager needs. Honestly I've maxed my well worker and produce as many buckets as I need for that as well. Buckets filled with water sell for more than empty ones. It's an easy source of a little bit of "passive" income in the early game imo. At least if you're close to another village and can easily run back and forth as buckets with water are heavy.

Word of advice: do NOT get too many villagers early on. Villagers are a liability until their skills improve. You're going to have to pick up the slack (preparing meals, making tools) until they've skilled a bit. Also, if you want a super-baby for your heir, hold off a few years until you've wifed someone with 10 skills.
